making a container for a beachstone from the shores of Long Island out of chipboard and glue. making the beachstone, itself, out of chipboard and glue as a means of containing it. burning the chipboard to create pigment. layering, carving, rubbing, sooting, throwing. bringing both stones to a psychic, asking to have the energy of the original beachstone transferred to its simulacra. realizing that the new stone already contained the beachstone. introducing a new form, a cube. contain the stone. contain the cube. increasing the scale. contain the stone. contain the cube.
